Service overview
A structured pathway
from scoping
to attestation.
The PCI DSS Assessment & Attestation service provides a complete, structured pathway to achieving PCI DSS compliance, from initial scoping through to formal QSA-led assessment and attestation. Our experienced team works alongside your organisation to ensure your people, processes and technology align with PCI DSS requirements, delivering a smooth and confident certification outcome.
Our approach
Delivered across
three key phases.
Each phase closes before the next begins, so nothing is rediscovered late and the formal assessment stays predictable.
01
Scoping and gap analysis
We define your PCI DSS scope, cardholder data environments (CDE), system boundaries and applicable requirements, then review your current controls against PCI DSS to identify gaps and areas of non-compliance. You receive a structured report outlining the remediation required.
02
Remediation support
We provide hands-on guidance to help you address identified gaps, whether technical, procedural or documentation-related, ensuring all requirements are met effectively and efficiently.
03
QSA assessment and attestation
Once ready, a Qualified Security Assessor conducts the formal assessment, producing the required artefacts such as the Report on Compliance (RoC) or Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), along with the Attestation of Compliance (AoC).
Why Confide
Why organisations bring this work to us
Assessment is all we do. You get an accredited QSA
who has taken hundreds of New Zealand organisations
through this, and who will tell you plainly where
you stand.

Qualified Security Assessor, certified by
the PCI Security Standards Council.
Minimal disruption
A structured approach that works with how your organisation already operates.
No surprises at sign-off
Scope settled and gaps found early, so the formal assessment holds no shocks.
A defensible position
Attestation from an accredited QSA, with the artefacts to
evidence it.
Common questions
Straight answers, before
you commit.
Ask us anything you would rather not put in an email.
It depends on your transaction volume, your merchant or service provider level, and how card data moves through your environment. Your acquirer sets the obligation; a short call confirms which path applies before you commit to anything.
An understanding of how you take payments, network and data-flow documentation if you have it, and a point of contact who can pull evidence together. If that documentation does not exist yet, producing it is part of the scoping phase.
Nothing is signed until it is met. We identify the gap, explain what the Standard is asking for, and work with your team on a control that satisfies it. Remediation before attestation is normal, not a failure.
